Danish budget airline Primera Air has collapsed, ceasing all operations on Monday after 14 years in business.
Primera said its failure to secure long-term financing had led the company to decide to file for bankruptcy. Earlier this year, Primera cancelled a number of flights, citing the late arrival of new aircraft from Airbus.
Thousands of passengers were left stranded after all flights were halted.
Consumer group Which? advised travellers who are affected by Primera’s suspension to contact their credit card company, insurer or travel agent for refunds.
